This recruitment includes 1,03,769 vacancies for posts like Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in various technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical and S&T departments), Assistant Pointsman and level-I posts in other departments. RRC Eligibility Criteria FAQs

Railway Recruitment always arises a plethora of questions in the minds of aspirants and here we are to answer them and help you clear your doubts.

♦When can I apply for RRC Level 1 Recruitment 2019?
You can apply from 12.03.2019 at 17.00 hrs to 12.04.2019 at 23.59 hrs.

♦What is the selection process of RRC Level 1 exam 2019?

  • Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Document Verification and Medical Examination.

♦What is the date for CBT Exam?
Tentative schedule September-October 2019

♦Is there normalization of marks?
Yes, marks will be normalized for all the stages of exam.

♦Is there any negative marking in CBT?
Yes, 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

♦How many candidates will be called for PET? 
Candidates shall be called for PET Three times the community wise total vacancy of the Posts notified against RRBs/RRCs.

♦Can I choose any other exam language except english?
English is the default language. In case the candidate wishes to choose any other language, then the same can be selected from the drop down list of languages. The languages listed are Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

♦What is the minimum educational qualifications to apply?
10th pass (OR) ITI from institutions recognised by NCVT/SCVT (or) equivalent (OR) National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT

NOTE: Diploma/Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in lieu of course completed Act Apprenticeship / ITI. Also, Graduate Act Apprentice will not be accepted in lieu of Course Completed Act Apprenticeship.

Note: Candidates who have undergone Lasik surgery or any other surgery procedure to correct refractory error are not eligible for the post having Medical Standards A2, A3, B1 and B2.

Important Point to Note
Candidates are advised to ensure that they are eligible as per the medical standards for the posts opted by them. Candidates found medically unsuitable for the applied post (s) shall not be given any alternative appointment. Those who are opting for A2 medicalstandard posts may note that these posts have stringent medical standard and hence they are specifically advised to ensure that their fitness both in terms of vision as well as physical standards is as per the prescribed requirements in the medical manual indicated above.

♦Can I apply for different zones for different posts?
No, You can apply from any one zone only.

♦What is the age limit?
AGE LIMIT: 18 to 33 years.
The lower and upper age limit indicated for a particular post(s) in the vacancy table will be reckoned as on 01.07.2019.

♦What is the application fee and will I get a refund?

  • UR & OBC: Rs. 500/-
    Out of this fee of Rs.500/-, an amount of Rs.400/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in First Stage CBT.
  • SC / ST / Ex-Serviceman / PWDs / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class : Rs. 250/-
    This fee of Rs.250/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in First Stage CBT.

♦Can I modify my application form after submission?

  • The RRB opted for, email id and mobile number cannot be changed.
  • After final submission of ONLINE application, in case the candidates wish to make minor changes to correct inadvertent errors in the application, can be done by paying the modification fee of Rs.100 (Non-Refundable).
  • In the case of a candidate modifying his community from SC/ST to UR or OBC, he will have to pay the difference in examination fee i.e. Rs.250 in addition to the modification fee. In case of failure to do so, his modified application will not be accepted.
  • Similarly, if a candidate is switching from Ex.SM/PwBD/Female/Transgender to UR/OBC (NCL)/Non Ex.SM/Non PwBD/Male etc., he will have to pay the difference in examination fee i.e. Rs.250 in addition to the modification fee. In case of failure to do so, his modified application will not be accepted.
  • The modification to the registration and application details can be done for maximum two times only.

RRC Level-I (Group-D) Application Fee

UR & OBC: Rs. 500/-
Out of this fee of Rs.500/-, an amount of Rs.400/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in First Stage CBT.
